What is the Event?
The Statue of Liberty 5K is much more than running alongside Lady Liberty. It’s about supporting the thousands of athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey.
Due to the logistics of the 250th Anniversary celebration and other planned events, Special Olympics New Jersey has moved this event to July 11th, 2026. Be sure to register now – spots are limited to 500 participants.
Unsure if you’re ready for a 5K but still want to enjoy the picturesque background? We still plan to offer a 3K walk option as part of this event!
*The 5K portion of this event will not be an officially timed event.

Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings to thousands of athletes.
