About Statue of Liberty 5K
What is the Event?
The Statue of Liberty 5K is much more than running alongside Lady Liberty. It’s about supporting the thousands of athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey.
Due to the logistics of the 250th Anniversary celebration and other planned events, Special Olympics New Jersey is still working on logistics. Once all details have been confirmed, we will open registration for this year’s event.
Unsure if you’re ready for a 5K but still want to enjoy the picturesque background? We still plan to offer a 3K walk option as part of this event!
*The 5K portion of this event will not be an officially timed event.
Location
The Statue of Liberty 5K may be a fundraiser for the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey, but it's also a life changer for the athletes and their friends, families and communities.
Where Do Funds Go?
Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings to thousands of athletes. All of these programs and services are always completely FREE thanks to fundraising events like the Statue of Liberty 5K.
